The common cold is no sneezing matter!
It’s the right time to take these simple pledges to fend off colds:
•
Keep an instant hand sanitizer with you to kill germs
when soap and water aren’t readily available.
•
Wash your hands frequently throughout the day.
•
Cover your mouth and nose when you
sneeze or cough into the crook
of your elbow. When you sneeze
or cough into your hand and
then touch telephones, doorknobs or
shake hands, you spread germs.
•
Try to wash or sanitize your hands before eating meals
or even snacks. Many experts suggest not
shaking hands in between cleansing them and
eating. For instance, you wouldn’t want to shake
hands with someone who’s just sneezed into
their hand, and then pick up a dinner roll!
•
Purchase new pillows on a regular basis, particularly
if you’re allergic to dust mites. When
changing your sheets, use a damp cloth to
wipe off the mattress to remove any dust particles
from the surface.
• Drink plenty of fluids.
