There are times in our life when our friends or our church family feels more like our
family than our own. Sometimes that is because of what our lives were like before CHRIST.
Sometimes it is because of the trials we or they have gone through and how they or we have
dealt with those trials. Sometimes it is because of the addictions that have been
brought into our lives or theirs by wrong decisions.
This can make being a “family” almost impossible. But our FATHER
knows how important being a part of a family is to each one of us. Therefore, when
we cannot be a normal family because of any one or more of the above reasons, He
places people in our lives to be our family.
These people are special and valued. Never think that there is anything wrong about
being a part of a family by adoption rather than by blood. JESUS
told us that we are adopted as GOD'S children
even though we are not blood children.
GOD promises that He
has set our family members aside for a work. He
keeps all of His promises. Whether we
are ever a “family” here on earth is not as important as that we are a family in
heaven. In the meantime, enjoy the
family GOD has placed in your life and count
your blessings! |
