James 1:2
"Consider it pure joy, my brothers, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance."

This week I was in a car accident.  The first thought in my mind when I saw the electric pole coming straight at me (or vice versa) was that people who hit poles die.  The nurse in me knows what happens to people that hit poles.  However, in this incident that pole was GOD'S way of saving my life.  I had gone down a steep incline into a ditch and the pole kept my car from rolling into the horse pasture below me.

Sometimes when something bad happens to us we donšt see the hand of
GOD in it.  To be honest, I was in too much shock to do anything more than thank GOD over and over again for my accident not being worse than it was.  Have you ever found yourself in a situation out of your control?

It is in those situations that
GOD teaches us patience and endurance.  We mature in the LORD by the testing of our faith.  In other words, we are becoming more like CHRIST.  GOD wants to be there for us through these trials.  Reliance on Him through these trials will teach us perseverance and help us to develop patience.

    Join me today
with an open heart before GOD and let Him develop patience in us and teach us perseverance!
