Matthew 5:11    
"Blessed are you when they revile and persecute you, and say all kinds of evil against you falsely for my sake. Rejoice and be exceedingly glad, for great is your reward in heaven, for so they persecuted the prophets who were before you."

    In this world, there are those who will go to great lengths to bring devastation and destruction in your life.  They will personally persecute you with slanderous remarks to others.  A few statements here and a few there and when it gets to the place intended, they rejoice.  The hardest thing for us to do is to remember that it is not the person behind the rumor that is attacking us.  It is the spirit that is behind the person or persons.  Those people are allowing themselves to be used by our enemy to harm another of GOD'S people.  

    However, it is not always the unsaved that come forth with an attack from our enemy.  Sometimes, it is the very ones who we believe love GOD and follow Him.  It is at these times that the wisdom of GOD tells us "For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places." (Ephesians 6:12)
