4:6-7
One of the most difficult things for an individual to do is to not be anxious when all the circumstances around you are saying differently. To live in this world is to know anxiety, and to know it personally. Anxiety hits you when the bills arrive in the mail. Anxiety hits you when your child takes their first step away from your home to go to school, to live his or her own life. Anxiety hits you when you arrive to work and things are helter skelter. As you stop and think about it, anxiety is constantly hitting you for many different reasons. That brings you to the question; 'What to do when anxiety hits you?' Your GOD asks you to not be anxious about anything. He gives you the solution! He tells you that when you feel anxiety come upon you, lift your heart up to Him in prayer and petition, asking for His help with a thankful and joyful heart. That suggests that you should have the knowledge in your heart that if you ask for His help that He will give you an all-encompassing peace. That peace will carry you victoriously through your circumstances. That peace will guard your heart and mind during an attack of anxiety and the onslaught that follows when you are hit with anxiety. Walking in His peace is so much more preferable than walking in anxiety! Next time you feel anxiety knocking on the door of your heart, take a moment of your time to lift your heart up to GOD. And when you do, GOD'S peace that passes all understanding will guard your heart in CHRIST JESUS.
