Hebrews
3:5-6 "And Moses indeed was faithful in all His
house as a servant, for a testimony of those things which would be spoken afterward,
but CHRIST as a Son
over His own house,
whose house we are if we hold fast the confidence and the rejoicing of the hope firm
to the end."
Moses was a servant.
He was a servant of the Most
High GOD. We too are servants of this same GOD.
The house that this passage is talking about is about the house of the LORD.
In other
words, Moses was a faithful servant of GOD.
On the other hand, JESUS
is not a servant of the house, He
is a Son over His
house. As a Son He
was faithful. He served His
FATHER faithfully, delivered His
FATHER'S
message of love, peace, forgiveness, deliverance, and healing with deep love
and caring for all of GOD'S people.
CHRIST is the builder and LORD
of the house. While He
was on this earth, walking about in the form of a man, He
was a servant to all. And yet, He
balanced His servant hood
with the simple fact that He
was GOD, came to
earth in the form of a man. He did
incredible things that no one can explain except that it came from GOD.
JESUS was the fulfillment of all that Moses
was a shadow of.
What can that mean to us? We need to
see how great of a hope we have in CHRIST.
We need to hang onto it for dear life as though it were the most valuable of
prizes we could ever have. We need to live and walk in courage knowing that He
will complete everything that He
has started in us. That is our hope, that in the end we will be with Him
for we will be like Him!
