Matthew
10:1
"And when He
had called His
twelve disciples to Him,
He
gave them power over unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal all kinds of
sickness and all kinds of disease."
I
want to begin by first concentrating on the word 'disciples', and then on the passage
itself. A disciple is a person who seeks to learn. In this case the disciples were
learning from JESUS about
the Kingdom of GOD.
We also can learn from JESUS
about the Kingdom of GOD
by studying the New Testament. By taking time out of our busy day to read and think about
the Word of GOD we
benefit in wisdom, understanding, strength of mind, hope, faith, and much more.
When each of us became a Believer we were given the authority and power to advance the
Kingdom of GOD through a
deliverance type of healing. We began to understand how the Kingdom of GOD
works, and how we can be a part of that. We also became aware of how we can become
more like CHRIST through
works and deeds done through the power of the HOLY
SPIRIT.
In regard to sickness, there are some sicknesses or diseases that have been caused due to
demonic activity in our lives. Our enemy would like nothing better than to slow down
or stop a Believer from being able to accomplish GOD'S
work on earth. He will sink so low as to cause incredible suffering in a Christianıs
life through an illness or disease.
If you believe
that this is you, than go to someone who you believe can stand with you and pray with you
for deliverance. However, do not make the mistake to think that all sickness and
disease is from our enemy, for it is not.
We can be sick or
riddled with a disease simply because we live in a world that is dying from sin.
Perhaps we are sick purely to show GOD'S
grace and mercy through a miraculous healing. Or perhaps we are sick or diseased because
we have completed our work on earth.
Regardless of the reason you may be sick, open your heart to GOD
and believe that His miraculous
work shall be done in you! |
