Psalms
126:5-6 "Those who sow in tears shall reap in joy. He who continually
goes forth weeping, bearing seed for sowing, shall doubtless come again with
rejoicing, bringing his sheaves with him."
This scripture is simply about sowing and reaping. Those who sow in
righteousness will reap a rich harvest. What does it mean though to sow in
tears? It it signifying a brokenness within a person. Charles H. Spurgeon
called it 'liquid prayer'. When a person is able to sincerely, from the heart,
pray and sow with deeds in righteousness they will reap joy. I have prayed that
way many times in my lifetime since my salvation.
My most recent was for my children a few nights ago. When
you care deeply for what happens in the lives of those around you then you find it
easy to both pray and act in a righteous way with and towards them. There is a
saying that 'no good deed goes unrewarded'. This
is more true in the Kingdom of GOD.
When people say this in the world, it is usually with
cynicism. However, it is different in the spiritual sense. When we
tearfully pray for another or go forth in weeping we not only experience true joy, we
bring back a wonderful harvest for our LORD.
By our living in this manner we will grow in godliness. We
sow in righteousness. We practice obedience to GOD
in our prayers and deeds. We grow in understanding of
GOD'S Word.
Which results in wisdom in our own lives and tremendous blessings in our lives and of
those around us!
Today, open your heart to GOD
and watch Him
bring forth a rich harvest in your life!
