"If we confess our sins, HE
is faithful
and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."
About 21 years ago, immediately after the birth
of my youngest daughter, I experienced an incredible miracle. I am a mother of
seven children who are a total of seven years apart in age. With the last child I had
to have an emergency C-section. My mother came to stay with us and help with the
kids.
Whenever I worked in the kitchen, I would put up
the child gate so that I wouldnąt accidentally step on the little ones. My
oldest son decided to climb over the gate (even though he had been told many times not
to). He had a wire hanger in his hand. As he climbed over he fell. When
I picked him up the sharp end was sticking in his neck. I was not in the medical
field at that time, I was a frightened and concerned mother. I cried out for my
mother to come quickly. She like me, saw how serious the situation was. I told
her to call my husband and tell him to come home quickly.
When
he arrived, we all decided to pull the hanger out. When we did, blood started
spurting all over with each heart beat. We
quickly placed pressure at the neck. In the meantime, my son's
eyes were becoming glazed over and he was extremely pale. To my surprise, my
husband began to quote the above scripture to John and asked him to confess his sin to
GOD and
believe that HE
could heal him this very moment. All three of us gathered
around my small 7 year old as he cried out to GOD
to forgive him and to heal him right now. My mother drew
the cloth away from my sonąs neck. It was unbelievable, the neck was totally
perfect. There was no sign of the injury! We all thanked GOD
for the incredible miracle. My small son experienced first
hand the miracle work of GOD
when we seek Him
with all our heart!
Our sins
unchecked bring about pain and suffering. Simply by confession we are able to be
delivered from it all! Today, let us each
open our heart to GOD
and watch Him
cleanse our lives!
