Romans 4:16
"Therefore it is of faith that it might be according to grace, so that the promise might be sure to all the seed, not only to those who are of the law, but also to those who are of the faith of Abraham, who is the father of us all..."

Many of us know how difficult it is to follow all the rules, to do everything exactly as we are told. Even though we may try very hard to do something exactly 'right'.  We are human, and therefore we tend to be imperfect.  The law, which is found in the Old Testament, is exacting. However, none of us are able to follow it to the letter.  That was the reason God sent His SON, JESUS.  JESUS brought us forgiveness and the ability to walk a holy life through our faith in Him.

Now, Abraham was credited to be a man of faith because he believed the promise of GOD to him.  In Romans 4:17 it goes on to say that "(as it is written. 'I have made you a father of many nations')."  Faith happens in our lives when we no longer attempt to do something on our own strength, but begin to trust that it can be done by someone else. In other words, this is an attitude of our heart where we make a conscious decision to stop relying totally on ourselves.

    Grace is a gift from
God, but faith is an act of our will.  Will you join with me today to open your heart to GOD and walk by faith before Him.
