Jude
1:24 "Now to Him
who is able to keep you from stumbling, and to present you
faultless before the presence of His
glory with exceeding joy."
This portion of the book of Jude gives us insight
into the ability of GOD to
bring us into His presence.
This takes a measure of trust on our part. We have to trust that
every word that has been said before this verse regarding
the grace of GOD at
work in our lives can bring us into His presence
blamelessly.
We know that
each one of us is imperfect. We are simply unable to walk a perfectly blameless
life in this imperfect world. Each one of makes mistakes. Yet, this scripture tells us
that He is 'able'
(has the power, willingness and strength) to keep us from stumbling. This
suggests that He is
actively working in each of our lives, daily, to draw us to Him.
In
Hebrews 12:2 Paul encourages us to keep our eyes upon JESUS
łthe author and finisher of our faith˛. From the very moment that we become
Christians, we begin a journey from death to life. With our
faith in CHRIST we
became alive in our spirit. Now, because of this decision we have made to open
our hearts to Him,
the LORD is actively
perfecting our faith and preparing us for when we see Him
face to face.
This
is why Jude continues on to say in verse 25, "to
GOD our SAVIOR,
who alone is wise, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and forever.
Amen." LORD,
open our hearts today, so that we may be among those who are able to stand before you
in blameless worship! open
