2 Peter 1:5-8
"For this very reason, make every effort to add to your faith goodness; and to goodness, knowledge; and to knowledge, self-control; and to self-control, perseverance; and to perseverance, godliness; and to godliness, brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness, love.  For if you possess these qualities in increasing measure, they will keep you from being ineffective and unproductive in your knowledge of our LORD JESUS CHRIST."

    Finally, to brotherly kindness we add love.  The kind of love the LORD is speaking of here is brotherly love.  This goes hand-in-hand with brotherly kindness.  Loving someone as you would your own brother or sister.  Think about it.  There is very little that your own brother or sister can do to destroy your love for them.  Even if they have been evil towards you, deep down in your heart there is this connection that lets you continue to love them and yes, forgive them (over and over again, sometimes).

    This special connection that you have for your own family is the same type of connection the LORD wants us to have towards each other.  This is the same type of love He wants us to display towards those who are lost in this evil world.  It is that type of love that can heal, can help, can deliver and even save those around us.

    When I began this series, I had wanted something different to happen in us.  Many Christians live their life showing outwardly some of the qualities of CHRIST.  However, if they are not working from inward out than we need JESUS to do Open Heart surgery, cleanse and then fill us with more of Him.  When we let Him inside of our heart, we must let Him clean us up.  Then the outward things will be life-changing.  Both for us and those around us.
