Matthew
6:21:
"For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also."
In this world we live in many things call or woo to us
for a place in our heart. Everything from our time to the relationships we
share with others. It is easy to see that there is a fight over what or
who rules our heart.
Although it may seem strange to us our God
is also desiring to have a place in our hearts. Why would God
want our heart? Our hearts can be open to Him or closed. Jesus
said to His
disciples ³For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.² (NIV)
If we consider things to be our treasure than our hearts are with those
things. But, if we consider the Lord
to be our treasure and hide His
words in our heart than He
will be there also.
When our hearts are fixed on the things of this world then
anxiety, fear, and troubles try to overtake us. When we have an open
heart to the Lord
than the blessings of God
such as, peace, faith and provision abound to us. Which do you desire?
Join me in having
and open heart before
God
and let Him
hold our
hearts in His
loving hands. |
